We knew it was a hit the first time we savoured the tender prosciutto, creamy Gorgonzola and fresh arugula - all on a pizza called The Miki from a posh bistro called Pizzeria Gusto. Apparently we weren't alone. The editors of Where Magazine crowned it as one of Canada's best new restaurants for 2008.

Performing Arts
It started life in 1912 as an opera house. The small town of Virden in western Manitoba couldn't have been more proud of its grand and spanking new Auditorium Theatre. Nearly 100 years later, The Aud - as it's affectionately called - is shining brighter than ever thanks to a top-to-bottom restoration. It's now delighting audiences with plays, concerts and a variety of entertainment events throughout the year.
